Within a nurturing environment, our students participate in hands-on lessons that encourage and foster natural curiosity and allow time for exploration. The Kindergarten curriculum is centered upon the foundations of learning – Science, Math, Language Arts, and Social Studies.
Each classroom provides opportunities for children to develop social skills, make decisions, use individual learning styles, work at their own pace, and develop creativity. Our science curriculum offers hands-on experimentation; the math program applies math instruction to everyday life experiences through games and play; our Language Arts curriculum includes “kidwriting”, phonics instruction, and guided reading; and the social studies curriculum is oriented toward self, family and community. Students also participate in special classes such as Technology, Spanish, Physical Education, Art, and Music.
We balance these vital areas of education with unique elective courses designed to challenge each student to reach their full potential – mind, body and spirit. These classes include gymnastics, cooking, puppetry, nature study, dance, and more. In addition, students participate in Kindergarten musical productions that foster individual talents and build confidence.
