About Our Facility
GACS is located in an office
building on a 120 acre campus in South Coatesville.
GACS leases the first and third floors of this building
and will be adding space as needed to expand. The facility was designed
by the world famous design team of Mitchell Giugegola Architects
in 1979. The building is very modern, with air conditioning and lots
of windows covering approximately 135,000 square feet on three floors
and approximately 45,000 square feet on each floor.
Since the GACS building is built on a hill, the main entry to the
school is actually on the second floor so students travel up only one
flight of stairs. As a Class A building in suburban Chester County, Pennsylvania,
the building has been superbly maintained. Features include:
• A separate cafeteria,
dedicated to Graystone Academy.
• 34 Classrooms on two floors. Room to expand on other floors in the building
as we grow.
• Several Group Classrooms for Special Education, Music and Art.
• 5,000 sq. ft. Multi-Purpose Room for Gym and other whole school activities,
plus an additonal multi-purpose room on the first floor for middle and high
school students
• Fully Air Conditioned and Heated with 6 HVAC rooftop units
• Library with computers
• Great Security -- All doors to the school are monitored via alarms and
streaming tape cameras if opened by anyone without authorization. There is
a sprinkler system throughout and sirens with flashing lights for emergency
notification. Magnetic locks are on all doors and staff members carry access
cards. Visitors are buzzed into the main entrance which also has a camera and
audio box. Located across the street from the Borough of South Coatesville
Police Department
• Local bus service available for parents or staff
• New fenced in playground with slide, jungle gym and other equipment.
Large paved area for games and basketball hoops. Grounds include several acres
with grassy fields for gym classes and 1 mile walking track.
• 300 dedicated parking spaces and bus drop off/pickup in left parking
lot for Graystone Academy
• Dedicated ADA accessible Graystone Academy Entrance door and stairwell
via left parking lot. Elevator available on request.
